Spherion Staffing is looking to fill a Tax Manager for a local small, client-focused accounting firm dedicated to providing personalized tax, accounting, and advisory services to individuals and small businesses. They pride themselves on building relationships with their clients and delivering high-quality, customized financial solutions.We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with 10 years of experience to join their growing team. This role involves preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing tax planning advice, and working closely with clients to address their financial needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in tax regulations, and comfortable working in a small firm environment. This role offers advancement opportunity.Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. In addition, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including HRA to reimburse out of pocket health expenses $500 per month, Washington paid sick leave, vacation.Responsibilities:Tax managers oversee their clients' tax planning, preparation, and filing. They build and maintain relationships with businesses and individuals to provide tax support or services. These professionals may also review company budgets and financial documents to provide tax advice. In this career, you are responsible for overseeing internal audits, developing and maintaining company tax policies, and ensuring the business is in compliance with relevant tax codes on local, state, federal, and even international levels. What skills do you need to be a tax manager? Tax managers must have good technical skills to analyze business transactions and their tax consequences. They must have an in-depth understanding of complex tax laws at the federal, state and local levels, and stay up to date with new and changing tax policies.Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:CPA license or progress toward CPA certification preferred.Education:BachelorsExperience:7-10 yearsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.7-10 years of experience in tax preparation and accounting, preferably in a small firm setting but will consider someone who has a mix of both corporate and public experience.Knowledge of federal and state tax laws.Experience with tax software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSeries, UltraTax, or similar).Excellent communication and client service skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Apply online
