Industrial Engineer, Service Distribution

*What to Expect**Tesla's Industrial Engineering team is seeking a motivated, experienced, and knowledgeable Industrial Engineer to work in the Service Distribution Group. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehousing environment, preferably involving work with medium to high volume products. This position involves analyzing labor requirements, developing workforce plans, and implementing best practices to ensure that labor resources are utilized effectively to meet operational goals. **What You'll Do**- Assess current labor productivity and performance metrics and analyze workforce data to forecast labor needs based on operational demands- Workforce Planning: Develop and implement labor plans that align with operational goals and budget constraints and collaborate with operations management to ensure optimal staffing levels during peak and off-peak periods- Collaborate with stakeholder teams like Warehouse Operations, IT Systems Developers, Inventory Control, Packaging Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain teams, and Material Planning to prioritize and maximize operational efficiency of the Warehouse team- Manage continuous improvement resources that influence and drive change through data, Engineering, and Automation efforts to deliver higher levels of performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth- Design and optimize material flow conveyance routes, facility layouts by analyzing bottlenecks and buffer sizes using process modeling- Manage issue resolution and develop corrective actions for all process inefficiencies related but not limited to standard warehouse and kitting operations, etc. and create SOP- Develop and maintain material flow data/plans that includes capacity and efficiency applying concepts of PDCA, Continuous Improvement, Lean methodologies **What You'll Bring**- Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Supply Chain Engineering,or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability- 2+ years of related experience in warehouse management, materials management/flow, production control, inventory control, material handling/conveyance, or project management in a warehousing- Analytical capabilities including data analysis to optimize warehouse processes/operations and inventory levels- Proficiency in creating and reading 2D layouts in AutoCAD- Mastery of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SQL, Tableau, MOST Engineering standards- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on demand- Problem solving ability in cross-functional and multi-cultural environment **Compensation and Benefits**BenefitsAlong with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:- Aetna PPO and HSA plans > 2 medical plan options with $0 payroll deduction- Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits- Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution- Company Paid (Health Savings Account) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High Deductible Aetna medical plan with HSA- Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)- 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits- Company paid Basic Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance- Employee Assistance Program- Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions), and Paid Holidays- Back-up childcare and parenting support resources- Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance- Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs- Tesla Babies program- Commuter benefits- Employee discounts and perks program- Expected Compensation- Industrial Engineer - $79,200 - $118,800/annual salary+ cash and stock awards + benefits for all levelsPay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
