Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is 'On-Site' at the location detailed in the job post., Job DescriptionPerforms duties related to the detention, processing, safeguarding, security, and escort of detainees as required in the contract.Exercises surveillance and control over Officers and detainees,and maintains order and disciplineEnforces rules and regulations of the detention facility.Provides care, custody and control of detainees.Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with organization policies and procedures.Follows company-wide safety policies and practices and adheres to responsibilities concerning safety prevention, reporting and monitoring as outlined in the Officer Handbook and other Company Safety Policies.Successfully completes all assigned training including defensive tactics and course requiring a minimum physical stamina.Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with organization policies and procedures.Follows company-wide safety policies and practices and adheres to responsibilities concerning safety prevention, reporting and monitoring as outlined in the Officer Handbook and other Company Safety Policies.Ensures shift scheduling provides adequate staff coverage for their pletes a health, safety and sanitation inspection of each postCompletes shift reports to be turned in to the Supervisory Detention and Deportation Officer (SDDO) and AGS shift spects facility and unit Logs for accuracyMaintains the secure and orderly operation of facility in accordance to the Performance Based National Detention Standards (PBNDS) and the American Correctional Association (ACA) standards.Ensures the sanitation of the facility is maintained.Ensures that staff assigned to the Florence Facility maintain accurate documentation of all activities on their assigned post and ensure staff signs their assigned Post Orders.Coordinates movement and transfers with the ICE Transportation Coordinator or Transportation Shift SupervisorResponsibilitiesSpeak, read, write, and understand English.Concisely and accurately prepare and write narratives of incidents and other written reports.Pass and maintain required medical and physical testing requirements and standards.Exercises judgment and uses discretion in dealing with first response to all situations.Demonstrate proficiency in methods and techniques of securing and controlling detainees by following required training, policy and procedure.Always maintain physical fitness standards and proficiency with any special equipment assigned and used while employed on this contract.Maintain a professional personal appearance, calm demeanor, and discretion with confidential information.Possess a high degree of integrity, accountability and adhere to the DHS ICE National Detention Standards.Ability to work with a diverse population of people, including people of different cultures, with different values and lifestyles; with a cross cultural perspective.
