Mortgage Servicing Specialist

Description We are looking for a skilled Mortgage Servicing Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Buellton, California. This role focuses on managing loan accounts, supporting underwriting processes, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the loan lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial analysis, loan servicing, and excellent communication skills to provide exceptional support to borrowers and internal teams. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage loan accounts, including processing payments, managing construction draws, and handling payoff requests. u2022 Evaluate borrower documentation to ensure compliance with company standards and loan program requirements. u2022 Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records for leadership review. u2022 Respond to borrower inquiries and deliver outstanding service while collaborating with the Tribal Accounting team on loan underwriting. u2022 Ensure the timely and accurate processing of loans, maintaining strong financial oversight throughout. u2022 Conduct thorough reviews to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently. u2022 Support the underwriting process by verifying eligibility and assisting with required documentation. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and workflow. u2022 Stay up-to-date with industry regulations to ensure compliance in all servicing actions. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage servicing or loan administration. u2022 Preferred 1-2 years of experience in underwriting. u2022 Strong proficiency in financial analysis and organizational skills. u2022 Familiarity with loan management systems and advanced Excel capabilities. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation. u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. u2022 Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and general ledger processes is a plus.
