As a Child and Family Specialist for California MENTOR Family Support Services, a member of the Sevita Family, youu2019ll provide assistance and guidance to the children and families served as a mentor, coach, and advocate. Youu2019ll work alongside a dedicated team of staff and supportive supervisors, while you grow your career. _Salary: $49,000 Annually (Salary Plus Overtime)_ _Community based - mileage reimbursement_ _Responsibilities:_ + Provide in-home and community based supports - connect child and family to resources (schools, parks, recreation etc.) + Attend review hearings and Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings + Advocate for child and familyu2019s needs and prepare child and family for Child and Family Team (CFT) activities + Work with foster families to build and maintain positive, supportive, and encouraging working relationships and connect them to resources + Prepare each foster child for the identified permanency goal + Manage conflict and family crises through reference to family safety plan + Co-facilitate training and/or activities for children + Provide mentoring and teaching resources: nurturing/parenting skills, problem-solving/conflict resolution skills, child development, self-esteem concepts, safety plan for children and parents, and basic needs + Documentation and record keeping _Qualifications:_ + Associate Arts degree in Human Services, Social Work or Psychology plus 1 year experience working with high risk youth; OR a high school diploma (or GED) plus 3 yearsu2019 experience working with high risk youth + An equivalent combination of education and experience + Current driver's license (valid for 1 year minimum), car registration, and auto insurance + Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks + A reliable, responsible attitude, compassionate approach and a commitment to quality in everything you do _Why Join Us?_ + Full-time position (40 hours/week) + Full compensation/benefits package plus 401(k) with company match. + Generous Paid time off and holiday pay. +
