Job Title: EstimatorJob Description The Estimator will play a crucial role in preparing accurate estimates for fabricated metal components and assemblies. This position involves gathering information, analyzing important metrics, and conducting regular risk assessments. The role requires fluency in manufacturing processes, in-depth knowledge of bills and routings for metal products, and proficiency with estimating ERP systems. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and demonstrate outstanding organizational abilities. Responsibilities + Understand and utilize the ERP quoting system or other quoting systems effectively. + Comprehend the part/project requirements thoroughly. + Identify key variables for cost and other estimates. + Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, etc. + Gather and review offers and quotes from subcontractors or vendors. + Perform risk analysis to ensure accuracy and reliability of estimates. + Create and submit estimate reports or bids to project managers, clients, and sales teams. + Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, including subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers. + Assist in training personnel as needed. + Possess basic mathematics skills and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. + Be proficient in relevant software including the MS Office Suite. + Exhibit excellent presentation and communication skills. + Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities. + Understand AWS Welding Codes and possess proficiency in estimating sheet metal components and weldments. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Bacheloru2019s or associate degree in industrial or mechanical engineering preferred, or a relevant field. + Minimum of 12 years of experience as an Estimator or in a similar role. + Experience with ERP Systems. + Advanced training in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. + Advanced knowledge and ability to understand Welding Symbols. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficiency in estimation, fabrication, welding, and GD&T. + Ability to maintain relationships with key stakeholders and vendors. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ramsey, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $55.00/hr.
