Tax Senior - Public

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Senior to join our team in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. In this role, you will manage a variety of tax-related tasks, including preparing and reviewing tax returns, maintaining accounting records, and mentoring entry-level staff. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships in compliance with applicable regulations. u2022 Handle and review tax extensions to ensure timely submissions. u2022 Evaluate initial estimates for federal and state income tax payments. u2022 Assist in the preparation and review of detailed tax accounting records. u2022 Collaborate with business clients to maintain accurate bookkeeping records, including entering transactions, reconciling bank statements, and posting journal entries. u2022 Process annual Form 1099 filings for clients. u2022 Draft and review response letters to taxing authorities addressing inquiries and issues. u2022 Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the year. u2022 Supervise, train, and mentor entry-level team members to enhance their skills and productivity. u2022 Apply extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
