Demonstrates proficiency in performing all CT Exams, administering contrast media, and other related patient care services. Responsibilities Job Performance + Demonstrates competency in preparing patients for procedures and the administration of contrast media. + Correctly performs all prescribed CT procedures in an efficient manner. + Utilizes good judgment to plan effectively and solve problems. + Is cognizant of radiation safety to self and others. + Demonstrates competency in the storage and transfer of exams. + Demonstrates competency in preparing patients for procedures and the administration of contrast media. Patient Care + Provides patient education and insures correct consent forms are signed. + Demonstrates competence in the administration of age appropriate care. + Obtains and records adequate patient history and interprets physician's orders correctly. + Correctly orders, tracks and charges exams in a timely fashion. Quality Improvement + Assures that equipment is in proper working order and performs all necessary quality control testing. + Logs in technical information, completes reports and surveys, and complies with all regulatory + Completes Occurrence Reports as needed. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology with equivalent training and experience as required by the licensing bodies. Experience: 1-2 years in General Radiology. Previous CT experience is preferred License(s)/Certification(s): The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in both Radiology and CT. Holds a current license or conditional license from the State of Illinois Emergency Management Agency and/or the Iowa Department of Public Health. CPR certification. Valid driveru2019s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
