Job Description The successful candidate for this position will serve as an Area Lead or staff engineer with responsibility for HVAC, utilities and/or plumbing scope on assigned projects. Job duties include: u2022 Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents to meet project requirements and goals u2022 Develop and routinely monitor/maintain estimates, schedules, staffing forecasts, and progress u2022 Develop/review project design criteria based on applicable local codes and client standards u2022 Prepare/check design calculations, specifications, and engineering drawings and ensure that they address all relevant project and regulatory requirements u2022 Participate in activities associated with equipment procurement, inspection, testing, acceptance, installation, and commissioning u2022 Provide technical support in the development of permitting and subcontracting packages u2022 Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) in areas of expertise u2022 Assist in training and development of less experienced engineers and designers including performance appraisal input and career coaching u2022 Other duties as assigned This position is contingent upon contract award Basic Job Requirements u2022 Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and six (6) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements u2022 Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors u2022 Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job u2022 Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines u2022 Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner u2022 Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials u2022 Practical field experience u2022 Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs Other Job Requirements u2022 Mechanical degree or Architectural Engineering degree with focus on mechanical building systems u2022 Professional registration (PE License) in mechanical or other relevant engineering field u2022 Ability to supervise and lead a diverse design team to work effectively with both internal and external organizations u2022 Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in an engineering design firm developing mechanical (HVAC, utilities, and plumbing) construction documents Preferred Qualifications u2022 Data center industry experience u2022 Semiconductor & microelectronics industry experience u2022 Life sciences & pharma industry experience u2022 Drawing and modeling experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D or Smart 3D u2022 Practical field experience related to the installation, start-up, and commissioning of HVAC, utilities and/or plumbing systems We are an equal opportunity employer.
