The Coordinator assures that operations are performed in an effective and efficient manner in the assigned areas. Major areas of responsibility include: overseeing patient throughput, monitoring patient charges for accuracy, and providing coverage during lunch hours and in times of need to reduce patient wait times. The position also coordinates the orientation of all new staff. This position works closely with imaging physicians and leadership to ensure high quality imaging and up to date protocols are in place. Works with imaging leadership to ensure proper staffing is maintained across all market campuses and that operations occur within the annual budget. Works primarily with adult, geriatrics, and adolescent patients. Occasionally works with pediatrics.ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES1. Demonstrates the ability to operate Epic computer/telephone/facsimile2. Demonstrates excellent organizational skills3. Actively communicates positively and effectively to all contacts4. Demonstrates the ability to multi-task5. Maintains excellent credibility with physicians6. Shares knowledge and demonstrates the ability to teach7. Maintains working knowledge of managed care and reimbursement methodologies8. Demonstrates the ability to maximize effective utilization of internal and community resources9. Recites knowledge of disease processes10. Demonstrates the ability to negotiate with multiple disciplines11. Learns and retains a working knowledge of PACS12. Other duties as assigned by management.High School graduate or equivalentGraduate of accredited school of radiologic technologyPrefer 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory rolePreferred 1 to 3 years of experience as a staff CT technologistMust be registered by the ARRT in radiology and CTAHA BLSRNSouthEast
