We donu2019t settle until we give our best and know that weu2019re making a difference.Weu2019re looking for an Electrical Engineering Specialist who is excited aboutworking on projects thatenable the heart of our clientsu2019 business.Join us and youu2019llhave the chance to work onprojects including semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities, and other state of the art manufacturing facilities. This is a hybrid position in Portland, Oregon, however, well qualified candidates in the US will also be considered.As an Electrical Engineering Specialist, you will be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks on mission critical projects,as you gainfamiliarity with the clientu2019s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Youu2019ll provideon-site assistance during startup,coordinatework activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. Yourmulti-discipline, highly interactiveteam willproduce installation details, motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, motor controlelementaries, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts and grounding, lighting,and power plans. You will assist directly with the more complex portions of the design process, interacting directly with the client, owner, and contractors to assist construction on site. You and your team will work closely with client owners in a fast paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.Bring your curiosity, talent for multi-taskingand collaboration, and extreme organizational skills and weu2019ll help you grow, pursue, and fulfill what drives you - so we can make big impacts on the world, together. Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license At least 15 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems At least 4 years of electrical engineering power distribution design experience for semiconductor, data center, or mission critical facilities Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards Experience with UPS and EPMS systems Experience with generator sizing and paralleling Extensive design experience with electrical power system equipment/components, such as Switchgears, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS, etc. Team leadership and client interaction experience Effective verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Project lead experience Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams Passionate about buildings and constructionIdeally, youu2019ll also have: Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software Medium Voltage (MV) design experience#afelectronics #electricalengineer #LI-MP1Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
