Safety Attendant

What We Offer The Safety Attendant provides one-on-one observation of selected patients for the purpose of identifying behaviors which are potentially hazardous to self or others in accordance with facility policies and procedures; reports needs and concerns to licensed nurse. What We're Looking For + Education: High school diploma required. + Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred. + Licensure/certification/registration: De-Escalation Techniques (within 90 days of employment), requried. Life Support Responder (within 90 days of employment), required. Management of Aggressive Behaviors (MOAB) Training (within 90 days after completion of De-Escalation Training), required. + Additional skills preferred: + Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing as applicable. Is knowledgeable regarding guidelines for infection control, body substance precautions, patient safety, and body mechanics. Maintains acceptable standards set by those guidelines. + Ability to work with all age group patients or act as a companion. + Basic computer skills for documentation. Why Choose Novant Health?
