Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team in Southfield, Michigan. This role involves providing comprehensive support for litigation tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in legal procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation and a strong ability to manage schedules and deadlines. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and file legal documents electronically, ensuring compliance with court requirements. u2022 Manage calendars and schedules for attorneys, including deadlines and court appearances. u2022 Draft and edit legal documents, correspondence, and reports with precision. u2022 Coordinate with clients and other parties involved in litigation to facilitate smooth communication. u2022 Conduct research to support legal arguments and case preparation. u2022 Maintain organized records of case files and documentation for easy access. u2022 Assist with court filings and ensure timely submission of all required documents. u2022 Provide administrative support by handling phone calls, emails, and scheduling meetings. u2022 Collaborate with attorneys to ensure cases progress efficiently and meet deadlines. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in electronic filing systems and court submission processes. u2022 Prior experience in civil litigation, with knowledge of legal terminology and procedures. u2022 Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and meet time-sensitive deadlines. u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills. u2022 Familiarity with drafting and editing legal documents accurately. u2022 Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Proficiency in legal research and case preparation. u2022 High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
