Job Title: Lab Technician Job Description The Lab Technician plays a critical role in supporting the operations of a high-grade laboratory specializing in precious metals. This position focuses on handling and processing precious metals with the utmost accuracy and care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow established procedures and Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs) precisely. Responsibilities + Accurately weigh, measure, and record data for high-value metal samples. + Follow all SOPs and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times. + Perform routine data entry and documentation with precision and timeliness. + Assist with sample preparation and handling to support production and material management. + Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding workflow and any deviations. + Monitor and maintain equipment in proper working condition; report issues promptly. + Participate in shift handovers and ensure continuity of operations. Essential Skills + High school diploma or equivalent required; some college-level coursework or lab experience preferred. + Prior exposure to a laboratory environment is highly desirable. + Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks. + Excellent organizational skills and ability to follow instructions meticulously. + Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment The position is based in an on-site, temperature-controlled laboratory environment, where handling high-value materials requires strict adherence to company protocols. The work schedule is Monday through Friday 3:00PM-11:00PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wartburg, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
