They serve as a member of the program services team; they support and work with them to serve the community by providing trauma-informed assistance. This is a unionized position, represented by Local 8 of the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU).u00a0 ABOUT THE PROGRAM: u00a0Jan & Peter's Place Women's Shelter provides a safe and warm place to sleep each night for 40 female-identifying guests experiencing homelessness. Guests are served dinner and breakfast at the shelter and have access to case management and support services. +-----------------------------------------------------------------------++-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ - LOCATION: North Beacon Hill Neighborhood (Seattle, WA) - REPORTS TO:u00a0Program Manager - FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt - SCHEDULE:u00a0Tuesday-Saturday, 11:55pm-8:00am; with staff meetings the first Thursday of the month - MEAL PERIOD: Paid (30-minutes) - SALARY RANGE: $26.25 per hour (Step 1) including the $1.75 overnight shift differential u00a0Step 2: 2.5% increase after a consecutive year of employment +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+FULL TIME BENEFITS INCLUDE:u00a0Unlimited Orca Transportation Pass, Medical/Prescription/Vision, Dental, $500 Health Flexible Spending Account 4 Weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) & 12u00a0Paid Holidays, Retirement Plan, Employee Assistance Program.u00a0u00a0QUALIFICATIONS:u00a0Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, tactfulness, and respect for participants from diverse backgrounds and identities.Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in de-escalation, crisis intervention, and stabilization skills.Demonstrated knowledge of local resources and services for individuals who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability.Manage difficult interpersonal situations effectively and know when to seek out support from your manager when needed.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and crisis situations.Ability to set and maintain boundaries in a professional manner.Ability to follow agenc policy and procedures to maintain safety and security within the facility.Follow sound interpersonal boundaries and emotional intelligence.u00a0Relate openly and comfortably with people from all backgrounds while valuing different points of views.u00a0Promote a team environment that values, encourages, and supports differences.Work independently and as part of a team, particularly to exercise sound decision making in the absence of supe
