If you want to join a technology leader, known for itsinnovation and dedication to its customers and employees, Hentzen canoffer you a rewarding and challenging opportunity to learn and grow.DEVELOPMENT CHEMIST - Liquid 1st Shift The Development Chemist - Liquidis responsible for the formulation, research, and development of newproducts and colors as well as improvement of existing products.Successful candidates will have an acceptable score on the colormatching and math tests. DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Develop newproducts for customers per their requirements. Develop products andsolve technical issues with a relatively minor amount of direction.Exercise wide discretion when solving challenges. Provide technicalassistance for existing accounts. Build knowledge of analytical methodsfor solving problems. Train production and quality control personnel.Work with production personnel to solve problems. Exhibits demonstrateddecision-making abilities. Plan activities for support personnel. Reduceor rework distressed products on hand to reduce inventory. Ability totravel up to 10% of time. As part of the housekeeping procedures, theemployee may be involved with the disposal of hazardous waste. Theinitial training on how to properly dispose of hazardous waste will beperformed by the Environmental and Safety Coordinator or the departmentsupervisor. Annual training of the same will be performed by theEnvironmental and Safety Coordinator. Perform other miscellaneous dutiesas assigned by supervisor or manager. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Education level strongly preferred: Bachelor's degree in chemistry orrelated field.
