POSITION SUMMARYAs the Dispatch Supervisor you will be responsible for the dispatching of trucks to convey freight to assigned destinations in a timely and efficient manner. Track deliveries via computer systems and monitors communication lines to assist with complex or immediate questions. Determine and review driver assignments, delivery time, and other transportation data to evaluate driver performance. Ensure drivers are educated and compliant with all DOT, state, local, and company regulations. Support the Operations Manager in achieving all site, dispatch, and office needs. Responsible for creating and managing routes, ensuring Drivers complete necessary paperwork, and promote safe driving habits.The shift for this position will be 4:00AM- 12:30PM or until work is completed.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESBack up to operations manager for vacations, time off, etc.Schedule all incoming and outgoing mobile transportation, up to and including tankers, end delivery vehicles, and railcarsSchedule daily and weekly blending activities as it relates to mins/max's, BPO's and other one-off itemsSet up, monitor and troubleshoot customer equipment, primarily tank monitors for all applicable customers within Lubricants footprintWork with customers on equipment and supply related issues on a day-to-day basisProvide daily support, scheduling, and direction for drivers around account specific issuesEnsure drivers complete all required paperwork: Driver logs, pre and post-trip inspections, and fuel receiptsEnsure drivers are completing customer returns within three (3) days of creationAssist with will-call customersAssist with reviewing Samsara driving alertsTrack drivers on Elite and close out all routes and open orders dailyComplete all routing requests before scheduled cut-off timesBackup for Dispatch Supervisor and ECommAssign lines to be pulled by material handlers for will-call and metro routesAnswering phone calls in a professional and timely mannerCommunicates effectively with call center, sales, customers, drivers and other locationsSpot check trucks for cleanliness and compliance, assist drivers when a breakdown occursPrepares and maintains accurate records of vehicles, insurance, and required regulatory filings and reporting.Coordinates repairs and preventative maintenance scheduling that support fleet vehicle availability requirements.May assist with safety training and communication programs.Backup driver, order pulling, operating power equipment as neededPromote and maintain a safe working environment for all team membersThe duties listed in this job description are not exhaustive. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.QUALIFICATIONSRequired:Must be 21 years or older (mandatory company policy)Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record in compliance with our driver policyOne (1) year of professional driving experience (cube van, box truck or semi), and satisfactory completion of company road test by qualified assessorTwo (2) + years experience in transportation industryKnowledge of DOT regulations and legal requirements for driversExcellent communication, customer service, and organization skillsAbility to be trained and safely use powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and high reach lifts.
