Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspector + Fort Myers, FL + + + + Total Fire Protection is hiring an experienced Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspector. Responsibilities: Fire sprinkler - + Conduct regular inspections of fire protection systems. + Sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge) + Fire pumps and controllers + Standpipe systems + Identify deficiencies and non-compliance issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions. + Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, test results, and recommendations. + Interpret and apply relevant fire codes and standards, such as NFPA, IFC, and local regulations. + Communicate effectively with building owners, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding fire safety requirements and inspection results. + Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. + Stay up to date on the latest fire protection technologies, codes, and regulations. + Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service. Fire Alarm - + Inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems in accordance with applicable NFPA codes with working knowledge of system controls, alarm panels, devices, and components. + Input data and report deficiencies. + Troubleshoot and repair deficiencies. + Communicate with internal and external customers in a professional manner. + Proper use and operation of tools needed to complete the inspection. + Plan, coordinate, and complete inspections as scheduled in a timely manner. + On-call rotation with other technicians to manage emergency service and inspection requests. + Ensure company provided vehicle is clean and well maintained as required by company policies. + Ensure that all assigned tools are safeguarded and maintained. Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent required + 5+ years of experience in fire protection system installation or inspection, testing, and maintenance. + Possess relevant State and/or National certifications, where applicable. + Strong knowledge of fire codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IFC, IBC). + Familiarity with various fire protection systems and equipment. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications. + 2+ years' experience inspecting and/or installing fire alarm systems required. + 2 years experience with CCTV, Intrusion, & Card Access preferred + Ability to use a computer, tablet and read electronic blueprints required. + Building Reports experience preferred. + Service Trade experience preferred. + Must have mechanical aptitude. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required. + Must have NICET or Florida equivalent. + Backflow Testing Certification and Repair Licensing preferred Job Type:Full-time Pay:$25.00 - $36.00 per hour Schedule:8 hour shift - Monday to Friday Benefits At Total Fire Protection, we recognize that our employees are the backbone of our success, and we are committed to fostering a work environment that not only values their contributions but also supports their overall well-being.
