Bus Driver

Job Goal: To transport students to and from school and school events in a safe manner.Performance Responsibilities:1. Transport students/passengers to and from school and events2. Supervise and assist passengers (including disabled) to get on and off the bus3. Perform pre-trip inspections daily4. Discharge passengers at authorized stops only5. Maintain rules governing passenger conduct on bus6. Collect and submit personal items left on bus to bus office7. Complete and maintain accurate and timely records and reports, i.e. time sheets, mechanical reports, route descriptions, seating charts, etc.8. Attend scheduled in-service training9. Adhere to regular service schedule for bus10. Clean bus, i.e. sweeping, washing front and back windows, etc.11. Maintain positive communication with school personnel, parents, students12. Dress appropriately13. Perform other duties as assigned14. Must have a valid SC Drivers License with no more than 4 points.15. Must pass Physical Assessment Test16. Must pass pre- employment drug screening17. Must attend ALL required Bus Driver training and Professional Development18. Must pass SC Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and CDL requirements19. Starting pay $21.28with no experience. Pay is determined by years of experience and maximum pay is $23.5420. Bus Driver positions are 9 months positions. Summers off.21. Full-time (30 hours or more per week) employees eligible for Health and Dental Benefits.22. State Retirement Plan (Optional)
