Position SummaryPerforms a variety of operations to assemble and make major assembly structures such as doors and mechanisms, and structural subassemblies such as rudders, flaps, and stabilizers. Aligns parts on jigs using templates and fixtures. Performs minor part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming. Measures parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.Reporting StructureThe Assembly Mechanic will report to the Associate Assembly Operations ManagerShift SchedulesMonday-Friday, 6am-2:30pmorMonday-Friday, 2:30pm-11pm, with a $2.50 per hour shift differentialPrimary ResponsibilitiesLayout parts per Manufacturing Orders and drawings and verity quantities and assembly instructionsPull tools, jigs, templates, and fixtures for setups and replace when completePackage and box assemblies for shipment per work orders and customer specificationsOperate designated machines and hand tools as required and/or instructed by supervisionFamiliarize oneself with Primus Assembly Processes and Procedures including applicable Business Quality Management System (BQMS) procedures as applicableKnowledge & SkillsRiveting, nutplate installations, bonding, bushing and bearing installations under supervision and instructionBlueprint reading and basic math skillsGeneral Tier II level aerospace assembly concepts and proceduresFamiliarity with computer-based MRP data entryGood manual dexterity with ability to maintain close tolerancesCapable of using a variety of manufacturing tools and measuring devicesBasic English language skills and ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructionsAbility to professionally communicate and work cooperatively with othersGood attention to detailWillingness to learnEducation & ExperienceHighschool or equivalentEntry Level to 1 year experience /generated inline style / All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. /generated inline style / For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $20.00 to $39.75 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
