Honeywell Sustainable Building Technologies is seeking a Senior Project Manager (PM) with experience inMicrogridsand Battery Storage. This PM will be the subject matter expert onMicrogridsand Battery storage components of energy projects, with the objective of a successful completion on time, and within budget, while maintaining quality, safety, andcash managementstandards, and producing strong customer references.Key ResponsibilitiesThis Project Manager will be the subject matter expert onMicrogridsand Battery storage components of energy projects, with the objective of a successful completion on time, and within budget, while maintaining quality, safety, andcash managementstandards, and producing strong customer referencesProjects include a combination of energy efficiency measures and renewable generation installations, to help Commercial & Industrial customers become more sustainable, save money, and improve services to their end usersLead a project team to investigate, develop and implement energy related customer improvements with a special focus on battery energy storage systems (BESS) and renewable-basedmicrogridsLead the assessment of potential microgrid applications that arise in thesales processWork with customers, internal teams and OEMs to optimize the microgrid design through workshops and modelingWork with stakeholders to standardize and streamline process for design, implementation, commissioning and monitoring ofmicrogridsCoordinate requirements and specifications both internally and externally with OEMs throughout the sales and implementation processSupport microgrid commissioning by writing specifications and test plans, driving test execution and documenting resultsActively manages the project team through regular meetings to assign tasks and responsibilities, and discuss/document project updates, needs and progressServes as internal and, in some cases, external customer's primary contact during development and implementation phasesManages all technical aspects of the project including scope development, savings analysis, andconstructabilityof the measures to drive project scope and develop comprehensive programs that fit customers' unique needsCreates, edits and reviews all external deliverables including customer reports, bid packages, and contract documents; and all internal documents including risk review packages, deal review documents, and project database recordsAssists Sales team in customer presentations and interviews during development phase, including C Suite meetings with customers as neededWorks with Legal and Finance to qualify vendors/subcontractors and prepares and negotiates all customer/vendor contractsand change ordersWorks construction manager and vendors/subcontractors to establish a project schedule with adequate milestones for regular progress measurementContinually monitors progress against the schedule and adjusts as necessary, communicating any changes with leadership, sales, construction manager, subs/vendors, and the customerExecutes with accuracy all fiduciary requirements including managing installation budgets, creating/approving revenue and expense invoices on a monthly basis, protecting project cash flow by ensuring timely customer payments, and completing monthly forecastsEnsures all projects are set up in Honeywell PM software platform and that all constructionproject documentationis up to date and complete throughout implementation and at time of project closeout (including drawings, RFIs, submittals, warranty informationWorks with theLabor ComplianceTeam to ensure all locallabor complianceregulations are metFollows up with subcontractors as needed to assistLabor Compliancein collection of documentsCoordinates with post-construction teams for savings guarantees and expected maintenance activities during development/implementation and ensures a smooth transition at the end of constructionMay perform other duties as assignedAbility to review engineering work across all typical energy project scope types and provide guidance in line with customer needs and expectationsUnderstanding of contract scopes of work, and alignment with subcontractor scopes of workAbility to review and improve energy analysis performed by others for all project sizesUnderstands Project Engineer job responsibilities in project developmentUnderstands durations and requirements of energy measure development and deliveryPrepares and understands proformasUnderstands general construction methods and has ability to work with construction manager to implement projectAnalytical andfinancial analysisskills to predict customer project economics and manage project budgetsNegotiation skills that protect Honeywell’s interests on a given project, while building customer and vendor/subcontractor rapportThe annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $ 155,000 - $ 194,000. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $ 178,000 - $ 223,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
