Plastics Operator- 1st Shift

Description: Basic level of injection molding machine operation following demonstrated directions. Operates one or more machines under prescribed conditions after others complete set-up. Work includes cycling the machine, removing scrap material from the parts, checking molded parts by gaging and visual inspection, as prescribed. Refers all deficiencies to supervisors or leads.RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs basic mold press operations. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. Ability to followed demonstrated directions. Good communication of the English language, both written and spoken. Ability to read written instructions, use simple math and use basic hand held measuring tools.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Should be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs.
