Tooling Mechanic-Quality InspectorCompany:Labor Dispute in ProgressBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Tooling Inspector to join our Quality MRB Team located in Mascoutah, IL.Please note that all training will be done at Boeing St. Louis, located Berkeley, spectors in this position inspects fabricated parts, tools and performs periodic inspection of Tooling used for the acceptance of product.Position Responsibilities:Perform inspection and/or process monitoring of tool fabrication processes, to ensure tools are built per the applicable drawing, specifications and procedures.Perform periodic tooling inspection using both physical and digital definition and interpret data for acceptance of tooling compliance.Utilize and/or interpret 3D measurement and analysis systems and software; such as Laser TrackersIdentify, investigate, and document nonconformance of materials, hardware, tools, tool assemblies or portions thereof, according to specification, processes and procedures utilizing appropriate computing applications.Perform audit/surveillance of tool fabrication processes, according to documented specifications, process and procedures.Screen paperwork/on-line system fabrication order and review the completed job and inspect workmanship.Ensure all parts/assemblies have been assembled per the tool drawing, specification and fabrication dicate Tooling Quality Acceptance on the appropriate paperwork and/or on-line systems and process the paperwork/systems as required per appropriate procedures and vestigate and clear nonconformance reports associated with tool manufacturing process as required per process.Verify record and re-inspect removals/reinstallations /rework of tooling components, as required.Verify all paperwork/online instruction (e.g., manufacturing order, applicable drawings, specifications, nonconformance items and any other necessary documents) is complete and accurate.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An Interim U.S secret clearance Prestart and final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):1+ years experience as a Quality Inspector3+ years of experience working in a tool fabrication environment, manufacturing, or fabrication environment.3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)3+ years of experience using computer aided measuring systems (CAMS).3+ years of experience operating Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM).Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, ETC)Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):High school graduate/GEDTechnical trade school certificate/degree (Or appropriate apprenticeship completion)5+ years of experience as an operator of Computer Aided Measurement Systems, Coordinate Measurement Machines, Laser Tracker, Laser Scanners, etc.5+ years of experience in setting and using precision measuring tools and equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and/or dial indicatorsRelocation:This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.Shift:This position is for variable shifts.Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time.
