As part of a three-person team in a startup-phase facility, the Plant Operator directly impacts safety, uptime, and environmental success. This is a leadership-through-action opportunity for those who want to be part of something built from the ground up — and grow with it.Performance ObjectivesCommission the Facility - Support final-stage construction, install, and test key systems to safely bring the Marathon RNG site online by Q2 2025.Own Daily Operations - Conduct daily rounds, monitor system parameters, identify anomalies, and execute first-echelon troubleshooting to ensure optimal gas processing.Safeguard Quality and Safety - Execute preventive maintenance, perform calibrations, and ensure all systems meet compliance, safety, and quality standards.Operate with Independence and Integrity - As part of a small team, manage tasks across operations, logistics, and basic maintenance with minimal oversight.Contribute to a High-Trust Team - Build rapport with a Marine and a Navy vet in a tight-knit, high-performance environment where reliability and communication are everything.Prepare for Growth - Learn the systems, support the expansion of site capability, and become promotable to Operator II/III and beyond.Fit TraitsLeadership: Demonstrates initiative and accountability; trusted to make judgment calls during remote operation or on-call rotation.Service: Mission-first mindset; comfortable stepping in where needed — from monitoring control systems to accepting supply deliveries.Growth: Seeks long-term development within a company expanding nationwide; thrives in ambiguity and transition.RequirementsMust have served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves, or U.S. National Guard. High school diploma or GED 2+ years in manufacturing, logistics, energy, or technical operations Strong mechanical/electrical systems understanding; able to perform low-level PMs and system calibrations Comfortable with basic computer usage and SCADA systems Valid driver's license and ability to work in varied environments (indoor/outdoor, hot/cold, tight/uneven spaces) Able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and safely handle chemical materials with PPE Preferred: Associate’s Degree or Technical Certification Experience in landfill, RNG, natural gas, or similar process plant operations BenefitsCompetitive salary (commensurate with experience and operator level)Paid on-call stipend (1 in 3 rotation)Monday-Friday day shift with remote-monitoring capabilitiesFull health, dental, and retirement packageProfessional development pathway from Operator I to Plant ManagerCulture of veteran leadership, mentorship, and growth
