Maintenance Technician Mancan in partnership with an Ashtabula facility is in search of a 1st shift Maintenance Technician. Pay is based on experience offering $32-$39 an hour.Position: Maintenance MechanicLocation: Ashtabula, OHPay Rate: $32-$39Schedule: Monday-Friday Day Shift (with potential transition to a 12-hour rotating shift)Classification: Safety Critical RoleNATURE OF DUTIES:We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform maintenance, service, and repair of manufacturing equipment in a 24/7 continuous operation facility. This is a full-time, hourly position requiring strong technical expertise and a commitment to safetyKey Responsibilities:* Safely and efficiently maintain/repair manufacturing and utility equipment in line with company procedures.* Monitor and troubleshoot equipment and processes; report deviations, equipment failures, and safety hazards.* Use internal systems to obtain spare parts, complete required documentation, and generate reports.* Participate in training and development programs; provide on-the-job training and mentoring to other team members as needed.* Contribute to team projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.* Maintain high housekeeping standards and adhere to safety practices at all times.* Follow all departmental rules, guidelines, and safety principles.* Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:* High school diploma or equivalent required.* Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role (chemical plant experience preferred).* Proficiency in maintaining pneumatic and hydraulic systems, tube bending, pipe fitting, flange make-up, and torque techniques.* Skilled in pump troubleshooting/rebuilding, mechanical seals, bearings, and lubrication practices.* Experience with valve repair: gate, globe, butterfly, ball, check, and relief valves.* Strong mechanical aptitude, including use of precision measurement tools and assembly techniques.* General knowledge of plant safety; OSHA 30-hour General Industry Safety certification preferred.* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP or similar systems.* Ability to work overtime and shift schedules as required.Benefits:This position offers a competitive hourly wage, annual bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits package including:* Paid time off* Medical, dental, and vision insurance* Short-term and long-term disability* Basic life and AD&D insurance (with buy-up options)* 401(k) with company matchMancan Temporary Staffing Employment Agency offers our temporary employees full benefits such as paid vacation, holidays, 401K, as well as vision, dental, and medical.
