Description A highly respected, state-wide California law firm handling complex, high-profile transactions and litigation for public agencies, private businesses, and large companies. This firm has NorCal and SoCal offices. Trial Paralegal u2013 Labor & Employment Group Join our Labor and Employment Defense Group, where attorneys focus 100% on defending employers (corporations, public entities, non-profits) across California. We provide sophisticated advice on complex issues including class actions, PAGA, employee classification, discipline, leaves of absence, and more. Our labor lawyers also serve as lead negotiators for unionized employers. The Trial Paralegal is involved in all phases of litigation, from initial pleadings through trial and appeal. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare for and go to trial + Manage eDiscovery throughout all phases + Assist with deposition and hearing preparation (exhibits, witness outlines). + Work on-site regularly. Requirements + Paralegal Certificate (ABA approved) or attestation + a minimum of five years of paralegal experience in a California law firm or in-house legal department. Bacheloru2019s degree preferred. + eDiscovery knowledge + Experience going to and preparing for trial + Ability to bill out time and meet an annual 1,575 billable hour requirement.
