Job Description Job description: One of Insight Globals clients is looking for an Operations and Maintenance Technician in Pomona CA to help operate and maintain the battery energy storge units. This position is responsible for general operations and maintenance support in order to maintain high plant availability including condition monitoring and optimization, development and implementation of best practices for predictive and preventative maintenance, development of maintenance management system, develop and maintain critical spares program, and remote monitoring of asset health. Day to Day: u2003u00b7 Thorough understanding of battery operation to include start-up, shutdown and emergency operational actions. u2003u00b7 Perform both routine and non-routine preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment. u2003u00b7 Make plant rounds, log equipment operating parameters and make adjustments on equipment as required. u2003u00b7 Schedule and coordinate field related activities in conjunction with the operations management. u2003u00b7 Requisition and assist in ordering and receiving plant materials. u2003u00b7 Represent the Company with vendors and regulators as assigned. u2003u00b7 The ability to respond calmly and think clearly in emergency situations and quickly access all areas of the plants. u2003u00b7 Evaluates and finds causes for equipment, procedural, and conditional control systems inefficiencies. u2003u00b7 The ability to respond calmly and think clearly in emergency situations and quickly access all areas of the plants. u2003u00b7 Strictly adhere to and enforce safety procedures as required by VESI, NFPA70E, and OSHA. u2003u00b7 Work with contractors and other temporary labor during on site activities. u2003u00b7 Use installed and portable test equipment, technical manuals, system drawings and electrical schematics to troubleshoot equipment and systems. u2003u00b7 Field equipment programming and troubleshooting. u2003u00b7 Must be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner, enter and exit vehicle without assistance, remain alert while driving for continuous period of time and read and understand maps. u2003u00b7 The position requires being on-call to troubleshoot remotely if required. u2003u00b7 Must be able to travel overnight approximately 25% of the time out of the office by air, train or auto.
