IT Operations Manager

Description Seeking a strategic, hands-on Manager of Desktop Services to lead a high-performing team of 15-20 resources covering primarily field desktop services, server and application support across multiple small hospital campus environments and outpatient facilities. This role is critical to maintaining and evolving our the technology environment, while supporting thousands of clinical and administrative staff. Primary Responsibility will include long-term planning, and specialized projects that enhance the digital experience for our caregivers and patients. - This role may require the manager to be hands on and to jump in for complex technical issues and solutions. - A understanding in both hardware and applications could be advantageous for this strategic role. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Operations u2022 Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 20+ desktop support technicians across multiple sites u2022 Oversee scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development u2022 Ensure timely resolution of service requests and incidents with a focus on customer satisfaction Technical Oversight u2022 Manage deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals u2022 Oversee imaging, patching, and software distribution using enterprise tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune) u2022 Maintain inventory accuracy and asset tracking across all locations Project Management & Innovation u2022 Lead specialized desktop-related projects such as hardware refreshes, clinical workstation upgrades, and device standardization u2022 Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and clinical informatics teams on cross-functional initiatives u2022 Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance user experience Compliance & Documentation u2022 Ensure adherence to HIPAA, security policies, and ITIL best practices u2022 Maintain documentation for procedures, configurations, and support workflows u2022 Participate in audits and contribute to risk mitigation strategies u2705 Qualifications u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) u2022 5+ years of desktop support experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role u2022 Experience in healthcare IT environments strongly preferred -- Ideal candidates will have experience and knowledge across Applications and Infrastructure space. u2022 Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, MDM tools, and ticketing systems Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Skills Project management, Infrastructure projects, Infrastructure network, Servicenow, Infrastructure, Operational management, Windows, Operations management, Desktop, Applications Top Skills Details Project management,Infrastructure projects,Infrastructure network,Servicenow Additional Skills & Qualifications Must be located in the Finger Lakes Region: on-site between Geneva and Canandaigua required. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Geneva, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
