Staff Accountant

Description Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting functions, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Responsibilities: u2022 Record and post journal entries for payroll, accruals, and expense allocations. u2022 Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. u2022 Assist in monthly and yearly financial close processes by reconciling accounts and verifying documentation. u2022 Organize and maintain financial records to support audits and internal reviews. u2022 Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and intercompany transactions to ensure accurate reporting. u2022 Prepare financial reports and summaries, including budget comparisons and cost analyses, for management. u2022 Review invoices and expense reports to verify accuracy and secure necessary approvals. u2022 Monitor fixed assets, including updating depreciation schedules and maintaining asset tagging. u2022 Support inventory valuation and cost accounting for raw materials, production, and finished goods. u2022 Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and team to ensure adherence to financial policies and controls.
