Paralegal

Description We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join our team in North Reading, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting attorneys with trial preparation, legal research, and case management. This position is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in civil litigation and family law. Responsibilities: u2022 Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including gathering and organizing relevant documentation. u2022 Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments. u2022 Manage case files using specialized case management software to ensure accuracy and accessibility. u2022 Prepare and file legal documents with courts in compliance with procedural requirements. u2022 Collaborate with attorneys to develop and implement litigation strategies. u2022 Monitor deadlines and schedules to ensure timely completion of case milestones. u2022 Handle discovery processes, including document review and evidence compilation. u2022 Provide administrative support during hearings and trials. u2022 Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law and civil litigation procedures. u2022 Communicate effectively with clients and legal teams to facilitate case progress. Requirements u2022 Proven experience as a Paralegal, ideally in civil litigation and family law. u2022 Proficiency in using case management software for organizing and tracking case files. u2022 Solid knowledge of trial preparation processes and legal documentation. u2022 Familiarity with court filing procedures and discovery processes. u2022 Strong legal research skills with attention to detail. u2022 Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines. u2022 Excellent communication and organizational skills. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred; certification is a plus.
