The Specialized Recruiting Group of Olympia is partnering with a local organization to find their next Workers Comp Claims Manager. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with compensation ranging from $60,000-$90,000 DOE. Benefits: Fully employer-paid medical, dental, and vision for employee (and family if added) 401k with 2% match and profit sharing 11 Paid Holidays Employees accrue PTO based on tenure, with 2 hours per pay period for those with less than 2 years of service, 4 hours per pay period for those with 2 to 4 years, and 6 hours per pay period for those with 5 or more years. There also is a starting PTO amount for new employees, which is negotiable. Key Responsibilities: Review L&I claims to ensure all medical treatment, time loss compensation, vocational services, and permanent partial disability awards comply with industrial insurance law. Communicate with relevant parties (attending physician, employer, injured worker, vocational counselor, L&I claims manager, etc.) to resolve claim issues. Submit timely written protests/appeals for any benefit or decision that does not comply with industrial insurance law or the facts of the claim. Assist the employer in developing and implementing a light-duty return-to-work program. Provide education and guidance to employers on industrial insurance law and L&I requirements. Represent the employer in appeals before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals. Qualifications: Experience managing Workers’ Comp claims within Labor & Industries (Apprenticeship graduation required). 5+ years of experience managing WA state Workers’ Comp claims (preferred). Proficiency with Windows, Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook). Ability to draft professional letters with appropriate spelling, grammar, and formatting. Knowledge of Washington state industrial insurance law and L&I policies. Strong verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
