Agency Employee Qualifications 1) Trained Phlebotomist 2)A minimum of one (1) year experience within the last three (3) years Phlebotomist Preferred Qualification 1) Graduated from phlebotomy program 2) 2-3 yearsu2019 experience in an acute care setting 3) Experience working independently with complex specimens preferred B. Primary Clinical Task/Duties 1) Accessions clinical pathology specimens 2) Principal responsibilities involve duties of drawing bloods following policies for positive patient identification for inpatients and outpatients as well accession all incoming specimens. Manual dexterity, keen observational skills and sound judgment are required to correctly identify patients prior to venipuncture C. Tour of Duty/Pay 1) The Phlebotomist will be required to work Monday through Friday on 8-hour shifts between the hours on 0600-Mid based on need as well as rotating weekends and holidays. The contract individual is expected to devote the time necessary to deliver the highest quality services to the VA patients. D. Training/Orientation: 1) Training will be conducted under the supervision of the Supervisor of the area assigned or designee.
