A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Xiaoyu Zhou at The Wistar Institute. The Zhou lab investigates intercellular immune communications through a combination of synthetic receptor engineering and endogenous gene perturbations, with the goal of developing innovative immunotherapies against cancer and other diseases. Example research projects include developing novel gene editing tools to enable high-content genetic perturbations for the discovery of therapeutic targets; and engineering immune receptors to reprogram T cell function in solid tumors. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is interested in gene editing, immune engineering, and immunotherapy. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CRISPR gene editing and/ or T cell engineering.
