This leadership role requires strong strategic vision, operational excellence, and technical expertise. The Director will oversee the incident response team and ensure the organization is resilient against cyber threats. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership u00b7 Develop and implement an effective incident response strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals. u00b7 Collaborate with executive leadership to communicate incident response capabilities and status. u00b7 Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and regulatory agencies. u00b7 Stay current on industry developments to identify emerging security technologies, risks and trends to ensure our systems keep pace with security technology and risk landscape evolution u00b7 Utilize meaningful metrics to drive alerting strategy Incident Response Management u00b7 Lead the response to major cybersecurity incidents, ensuring timely mitigation and recovery. u00b7 Establish and maintain incident response playbooks and escalation protocols. u00b7 Coordinate cross-functional teams (IT, legal, communications, etc.) during incidents. Monitoring & Detection u00b7 Work closely with Cybersecurity teams to detect potential threats. u00b7 Identify areas of tuning and improvement with tools for detection, alerting, and incident tracking. Post-Incident Review & Reporting u00b7 Conduct post-mortem analyses of incidents to identify root causes and preventive measures. u00b7 Deliver detailed incident reports and present findings to senior leadership. Team Leadership & Development u00b7 Build and manage a high-performing incident response team. u00b7 Define career development paths and mentorship for team members. Qualifications Education & Experience u00b7 Bacheloru2019s degree (Computer Science, Information Security, or related field) OR equivalent experience (e.g. military service or additional security operations experience). u00b7 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity with at least 4 years in incident response-related activities u00b7 Proven leadership experience in cybersecurity roles Certifications (Preferred) u00b7 CISSP, CISM, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), or similar. Technical Skills u00b7 In-depth knowledge of security monitoring tools (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS). u00b7 Microsoft Entra Tenant, Google SecOps, and Crowdstrike experience preferred. u00b7 Familiarity with malware analysis, forensics, and reverse engineering. u00b7 Strong understanding of AWS (Guarduty, networking, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure. Soft Skills u00b7 Excellent communication, decision-making, and crisis management skills. u00b7 Detail oriented mindset u00b7 Ability to work under pressure and lead in highly complex environments. u00b7 Proven experience briefing executive stakeholders.
