I. Job Summary This role is responsible for Onboarding, Developing, Coaching, Mentoring, and Performance Management of all drivers and helpers. Establish and maintain positive relationships with all front-line employees. Spends the majority of the day in the field with frontline employees. This role leads and develops a team of 20u201330 drivers, providing coaching and guidance to ensure safety, efficiency, and high-quality service. In addition, the Operations Manager supports a department managing 61 routes, monitoring performance metrics, optimizing schedules, and implementing best practices to achieve operational excellence. Acting as a business owner, this position focuses on cost management, compliance, and continuous improvement while collaborating with dispatch, logistics, and customer service teams to maintain exceptional standards and customer satisfaction. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Onboarding u2022 Ensuring new frontline employees have tools, instruction, and feedback for successful daily duties u2022 Meet with new frontline employees daily to ensure consistent communication and support of onboarding. + Developing u2022 Provide timely and consistent touchpoints with frontline employees. u2022 Regular review of best practices to enhance daily performance u2022 Focus on understanding and progress of frontline employee career goals + Coaching u2022 Identify and address improvement opportunities and collaborate with frontline employees to ensure continued success u2022 Actively practice and seek feedback on coaching conversations. + Mentoring u2022 Lead by example to ensure safety practices are paramount with each employee and u2022 Teaching and developing an understanding of the WM Way + Performance Management u2022 Conducts Root Cause Investigations for all injuries and incidents, ensuring consistent discipline and retraining. u2022 Documents and maintains records required by regulatory agencies such as the Department of Transportation. + Reviews and audits documentation related to route operations daily (e.g., DVIRs, driver time and attendance, open tickets), following up where appropriate. + Visits customers and customer sites to evaluate and resolve safety issues, seeking service alternatives where appropriate. III. Qualifications A. Required Qualifications + Associate's Degree or in lieu of a degree Required or + High School Diploma (accredited) and two (2) years of relevant work experience. Required + Successful completion of the WM Operations Manager Trainee program Required and + must be at least 18 years of age Required and + legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located Required + Driver's License Valid Driver's License Required B. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidateu2019s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
