SummaryJob Description:PCT-(ED)Full Time I Second ShiftEmergency Department I Hamburg The Emergency Department at Baptist Health Hamburg is a part of a 344,000-square-foot medical center offering 24/7 emergency care for patients of all ages. The ED includes specialty treatment rooms, an Extended Care Unit for short-stay observation, and access to 24-hour EMS transport, including ALS ambulance support. Our team delivers high-quality, patient-focused care in a modern, collaborative environment.Description PCT (ED):- The Nursing Assistant II (Emergency Department Technician) functions within the multidisciplinary team that cares for the ED patient under the direction and supervision of the ED Registered Nurse.- Demonstrates excellent communication and coordination of patient care/department flow.- Working knowledge of appropriate computer functions and systems for assigned duties.- Maintains work area to ensure efficient operation and workflow.- Collects, process, transports and analyzes specimens according to approved standards of testing per laboratory policies and procedures.- Demonstrates proficiency in patient care, according to hospital policies and procedures.Requirements PCT (ED):- High School Diploma or equivalent- Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year clinical classes in nursing school and validation of a clinical consistent with level of education.- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
