Description Contract position for a Payroll Manager 100% ONSITE 5 days a week in Carrollton, Texas This is a 3-6 month contract assignment Must have experience with Union Wage Position Summary The Payroll Manager will support the oversight and management of all aspects of our multi-state weekly payroll operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll and payment of all employees in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and tax regulations. The Payroll Manager will also ensure adherence to all collective bargaining agreements and internal policies, while identifying and implementing opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and improve processes. This role requires experience with end-to-end payroll processing and ensuring accuracy and integrity of accounting and internal controls. Also, financial recordkeeping and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This role will assist in promoting a high level of customer service to both internal departments and external customers. Position Details u2022 Oversee and monitor daily payroll operations to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. Also, the timely, accurate processing of all new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations u2022 Develop, implement, and maintain organization-wide payroll structures and systems to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws u2022 Develop and lead a successful Payroll Team, cultivating a high performing, professional and supportive environment. This includes communication of job expectations, coaching, counseling of employees, and completion of performance evaluations u2022 Coordinate the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of payroll data. Manage regular preparation of relevant reports including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports u2022 Communicate actively with Operations and HR to review cross-departmental impacts, reconcile data sharing, and identify opportunities for improvements u2022 Maintain knowledge of best practices, and current and proposed legislation and regulation; recommend changes to policies and procedures to ensure compliance Requirements Qualifications Bacheloru2019s degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent Minimum 5 u2013 7 years of experience managing a multi-state payroll department preferred Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus Experience with Unions/Collective Bargaining agreements and their various requirements Experience with Prevailing wage and Certified payroll reporting Experience with ADP preferred Robert Half is the worldu2019s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
