Job Title: Produce Clerk I FLSA Status: HourlyReports To: Produce Department ManagerResponsible for working closely with all produce associates in an effort to ensure all company policies and procedures are being followed, department goals are being obtained, and associates' needs are being met. Produce Associates provide a high standard of care to quality, nutritious fruits and vegetables to ensure they are fresh & delicious for the families within our communities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1) Provides customer service to guestsAssist guests with finding items they are looking for on or off the sales floorTakes orders and other special requestsAnswers the telephone and assists callers using proper phone etiquetteAddresses guest concerns and resolves issues when a guest is not satisfied with the service or product received, if in need further assistance, bring concern to the Produce Department Manager2) Stocking and maintaining product levelsFill all items on displayMakes sure products are rotated, using first in first out methodFollow display standardsMakes sure the sales floor is clean and tidy; no messes or spillsMaintaining Produce supplies (i.e. roll bags, twist ties, etc.)3) Log SheetsTake temperatures of everything regularlyFill out rotation sheets dailyRecord shrink daily4) Maintain Produce CoolerRotation of items within the cooler, first in-first out methodKeeping the cooler clean and organized at all times5) Product OrderResponsible for ordering some product (i.e. dips, spices, herbs, etc.)Other duties as assigned.Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
