URBN is hiring a Digital Optimization Specialist to join the team. As a leading global retailer, URBN isdedicated to delivering personalized, data-driven campaigns across multiple digital touch points. In this role,you willbe responsible fordeveloping A/B test experiencesand behavioral measurement capabilitieson our websites. Thisrole involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including eCommerce, Analytics, Product, Marketing, and Operationteams, to driveand measureimprovementsacross our digital properties.You willbe responsible forhelping ourteamstomanage, implement, and QA pixels, tags, and API sourced data signalsbased on ever-changing platform best practices and formarketing campaign changes and promotions, troubleshooting issues, conducting audits,identifyingtesting opportunities, and ensuring compliance withvariousplatform requirements.Developvariouscomplexuser experiences on our websites via our A/B testing platform based on defined use cases and specifications.Work closely with Brand, Product, and Engineering partnersto ensuretests builtare aligned with product strategies, business goals, andbest practices; act as aSMEfor allsite A/B testing capabilities. Develop and execute thorough QA plans for any tests built. Oversee the daily management and optimization of datasignalsto marketingand analyticspartners (e.g., Google, Meta, etc.) from ourdigital properties. Ensure alldataattributes areaccurate, updated, and aligned with communicatedbusiness requirements. Partner withengineering teamsto QA changes as they are made. Troubleshoot andsupport the resolutionofissues relatingtodata signalerrors,changes, bugs, etc. Develop automated methods tomonitorand audit the quality of data originating from our digital properties.Education:Bachelor’s degree insoftwareengineering,analytics, datascienceor related fieldExperience:2+years’ experiencebuilding website user experiencesfor experimentation.Familiarity withtag management platforms and various related tooling. Technical Skills:Proficient withJavaScript,CSS, and other relevant programming languages to build new front-end user experiences inA/B testing platforms(e.g.,SiteSpect,Monetate, Optimizely,or others).Advanced experience (custom code writing)withtagmanagement tools (e.g.,Tealium, Google Tag Manager, or others) ispreferred. Analytical Skills:Ability to analyzebusiness and technicalrequirements,translating those into actionable development tasks toexecute. Strong foundationalknowledge ofdata collection strategies and best practices. Attention to Detail:Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and consistency inall tasks.Ability to catch discrepancies and errors before theyimpactusers. Communication skills:Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks cross-functionally with various teams and stakeholders. Properly translate technical details into clear, actionableobjectives.
