The Saw Operator will be responsible for performing all saw department responsibilities in accordance with set standards and company policy. This role is located in Lake Zurich, ILand will be fully on-site.Hourly Pay Range: $18.00 - $25.00/hrWork Schedule: 2nd Shift (4:00 pm - 2:30 am) | Monday - ThursdayPay Schedule: WeeklyAt Wieland, we recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be based upon various factors unique to each individual that may include but are not limited to years of experience, industry knowledge, technical skills, education, qualifications, etc.This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”), and the ability to access and handle ITAR “Technical Data” as defined by 22 CFR § 120.33 is an essential function.Saw Operator Responsibilities:Must have the ability to understand proper set up and use of band sawsPrepare/understand all forms and reports pertaining to the processing of productMust have knowledge with tape measure, caliper, squareProper material handlingStack and load product on trailers, skids and material handling cartsOperate forklifts, manual and electric pallet jacks, overhead cranesMust be a certified forklift driver on the sit-down forklift and stand up Raymond side loader forklift within 90 days of employmentCommunicate with other warehouse production department personnelEfficiently stage product in and out of saw locationsUse Vantage as a tool for inventory adjustments, inventory location, inventory inquiries, print pick lists, distribution ordersKnow how to change forklift LP tanks and how to properly charge forklift batteriesProper raw material handling, moving and identificationParticipate in production department housekeepingParticipate in cycle counting and inventory integrityContinuously model Wieland Core ValuesFollow safety rules Work overtime when necessaryPerform other duties as assignedActivities as assigned related to and in support of the Quality and Environmental Management SystemSaw Operator Qualifications:Ability to follow written and verbal instructionsGood written and verbal communicationBasic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Knowledge of basic mathematicsHigh school diploma or GED requiredTrained and licensed in operation of forkliftsDriver’s licenseForklift licenseJoining Wieland’s team gives you…Benefits - Including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life & more!Retirement Savings- 401(k) contribution + match.Work/Life Balance- Paid Vacation & Holidays.Growth Opportunities - We have over 9,000+ employees worldwide and 40+ locations in North America alone.
