Eatonu2019s Commercial & Residential Distribution Solutions Division is seeking a Application and Product Engineer for its Panelboard / Switchboard Satellite Operation. The position will be based at our facility in Morrisville, NC. The expected annual salary range for this role is $83000 - $122000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What youu2019ll do: Position Overview: The Application and Product Engineer will execute administrate, engineering/technical, Maintenance bypass quoting support/product strategy, & job specific material procurement functions in support of the goals established for the Satellite facilityu2019s manufacture of high-quality power distribution products. Essential Functions: In this role, you will: u2022 Execute product quoting, configuration and post shipment support for panelboards and switchboards applied in conjunction with uptime critical (UPS) systems u2022 Prepare all drawings and manufacturing information (mechanical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of material, etc.) to ensure execution of facility goals. u2022 Support Maintenance Bypass Panelboard and Switchboard Product Strategy, Consolidation, and Optimization in conjunction with Business Leadership to drive profitable sales and growth u2022 Maintain positive regional and national client group relationships regarding technical specifications, product application, requests for approval and job site visits. u2022 Ensure inventory and purchase orders are executed proactively to resolve all issues in a timely manner relative to the facility production schedule. u2022 Assist with specific scheduling for Satellite products; ensure these items are manufactured based on customer need and plant capacity levels. u2022 Maintain good working relationships with customers, distributors, supply chain, Eaton sales personnel and internal plant personnel in support of a quality customer service effort Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: + Bachelors degree from an accredited institution + Minimum 3 years of experience in application, procurement, or configuration of electrical distribution products + Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or Mechatronics Engineering from an accredited institution + Experience interfacing with internal and external customers during quoting, product realization, or post shipment support + Experience with Panelboards/Switchboards + Experience with controls engineering Position Criteria: u2022 Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) u2022 Working knowledge of AutoCAD u2022 Strong business acumen u2022 Knowledge of basic electricity u2022 Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills u2022 Ability to problem solve and analyze product application issues and drive them to root cause resolution. u2022 Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously. u2022 Must be able to work well in a small team environment u2022 Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with internal and external customers. u2022 Must be a strong team player that enjoys a fast-paced environment.
