Job Title: Civil DrafterJob Description We are seeking a skilled Civil Drafter to draft utility plans, profiles, one-line diagrams, MCC designs, lighting plans, and utility piping. You will prepare engineering drawing sets for grading, drainage, pavements, drives, sanitary and storm sewers, and utility designs including water mains. Additionally, you will develop process pipe drawings for existing and new design layouts at wastewater remediation sites and prepare utility drainage cross-sections for road improvement projects. Responsibilities + Draft utility plans, profiles, one-line diagrams, MCC designs, lighting plans, and utility piping. + Prepare engineering drawing sets for grading, drainage, pavements, drives, sanitary and storm sewers, and utility designs including water mains. + Develop process pipe drawings for existing and new design layouts at wastewater remediation sites. + Prepare utility drainage cross-sections for road improvement projects. Essential Skills + 5+ years of MicroStation drafting experience. + Experience with water main, sanitary, storm sewer design work, grading plans, roadway MFT design style. + Strong attention to detail. + Strong communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Openroads and/or Geopak is preferred. + Proficiency in Civil Design, Roadway Drafting/Design, right of way, utility design, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, stormwater, pavement design. Work Environment The work environment is collaborative, with a team comprising one senior drafter and three junior-level drafters. The position requires 100% in-office work for five days a week, although flexibility is offered when needed. The team supports municipal-focused roadway projects, including roadway resurfacing, right of ways, road corridors, and various utilities involved in roads. The role involves mentoring junior drafters in MicroStation and offers opportunities for managerial growth. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
