Payroll Specialist

Description We are working with a client who is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract to permanent basis in Howard Lake, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll operations for a large employee base while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. This position offers an opportunity to utilize your expertise in payroll systems and employee benefits administration. Responsibilities: u2022 Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 600 employees with precision and timeliness. u2022 Maintain payroll data in Paylocity, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards. u2022 Collaborate with HR teams to support ongoing initiatives and projects. u2022 Administer employee benefits, including updates and tracking for accuracy. u2022 Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations. u2022 Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently to maintain employee satisfaction. u2022 Prepare and analyze payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders. u2022 Provide guidance to employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries. u2022 Stay informed about industry trends to enhance payroll practices and procedures. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience. u2022 Proven proficiency in utilizing Paylocity for payroll operations. u2022 Familiarity with full-cycle payroll processes, particularly for large employee groups. u2022 Strong understanding of payroll compliance and relevant regulations. u2022 Ability to manage payroll for over 500 employees with accuracy and efficiency. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities. u2022 Effective communication skills to address employee and HR-related inquiries. u2022 Experience with Microsoft systems for payroll-related tasks.
