Database Administrator

Description We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator to join our team on a contract basis in Franklin, Wisconsin. This role focuses on supporting database environments across development, QA, and production systems while ensuring seamless transitions and stability. As part of the team, you will contribute to optimizing database performance and collaborating on critical tasks to achieve project milestones. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage and configure database environments, including development, QA, and production systems. u2022 Address and resolve issues in QA and production environments to improve system stability. u2022 Assist with environment setup and ensure readiness for critical tasks. u2022 Collaborate on the transition from QA to live production environments within established timelines. u2022 Perform database cleanup and maintenance tasks to enhance performance and reliability. u2022 Provide support for backups and imports to ensure data integrity. u2022 Optimize database performance through tuning and troubleshooting. u2022 Work closely with team members and vendors to address project-specific requirements. u2022 Support system hand-offs and contribute to the completion of pending tasks. u2022 Utilize expertise in database technologies to achieve project goals effectively. Requirements u2022 Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database. u2022 Familiarity with MySQL and Microsoft SQL environments. u2022 Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting skills. u2022 Ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. u2022 Experience with database setup and environment transitions. u2022 Knowledge of optimizing and maintaining database structures. u2022 Effective collaboration skills for working with teams and vendors. u2022 Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
