Job Title: General Labor 19 - 20/hr Job Description We are looking for dedicated individuals who are keen to develop into a future slitter operator role. While training will be provided, having a foundational understanding of basic machine operations will greatly enhance your success in this position. You will work collaboratively in a team of 3 to 4 members and occasionally assist 3 additional packers. The role involves loading and unloading machinery, quality checking steel during and after processing, using measurement tools such as mics, cals, and gauges, shipping and receiving materials, and ensuring safe operations throughout. Responsibilities + Assist in machine operation and aim to transition to a slitter operator role. + Collaborate with a team of 3 to 4 members and provide support to additional packers as needed. + Help with loading and unloading machinery. + Conduct quality checks on steel during and after processing to ensure proper operation. + Utilize measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges. + Manage shipping and receiving of materials within the facility. + Move materials efficiently around the facility. + Maintain a safe working environment at all times. Essential Skills + Experience in a manufacturing environment with presses, steel, large machinery, etc. + Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. + Proficiency in reading a tape measure to 1/16
