Eatonu2019s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a MVA Offload Fronts - Technician II. The hourly rate for this position is $18.00 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What youu2019ll do: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: In the Assembly Technician role, you assemble, wire, and modify work based on specified guidelines in the manufacture of medium and high voltage, indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and any sub-assemblies associated with these. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: u2022 Work to manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, written or oral instruction from supervisor or team lead to established procedures. u2022 Fill out ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering as required. u2022 Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wire operations as needed. u2022 Regularly lift and assemble with heavy copper parts. u2022 Report shortages to appropriate operators of Kanban inventory. u2022 Inspect all assemblies for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness. u2022 Respond to change notices, customer requested adjustments, and development needs. u2022 Assist engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-initiated development work. u2022 Able to effectively train and coach colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development. u2022 Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: u2022 High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. u2022 Use and knowledge of using hand and air tools. u2022 Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. u2022 No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: u2022 At least 1 year of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment u2022 South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent Skills: POSITION CRITERIA: u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills u2022 Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment. u2022 Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs. u2022 Utilize various hand and power tools, step ladder and crane to assemble and verify quality in a Lean environment. u2022 Must be able to use standard computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook/Teams and job specific programs such as ENOVIA. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; reach at or above shoulder level; grip; and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is frequently required to walk; stoop; lift; carry; push; pull; and grip. The employee is frequently required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to push/pull up to or greater than 50 pounds. The vision requirements include far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to listen and to talk.
