The candidate must be based in either Boston, MA, Hartford, CT or the Manchester, NH offices of CDM Smith. Responsibilities of this position will include: u2022Supporting your employeesu2019 career journey u2022Communicating, integrating, connecting, and engaging with your team members u2022Actively participating in your team membersu2019 career paths, including identifying and completing appropriate training, achieving professional registration/certification, and assigning challenging projects u2022Selecting a suitable mentor for your employees as part of the Structured Mentoring Program- Career Compass u2022Celebrating team members at important milestones (i.e., work anniversaries, promotions, professional registration, etc.) u2022Conducting timely and authentic annual performance appraisals, coordinating with technical mentors, project managers, TDMs, and others u2022Responsibility for leveraging and application of intellectual property, especially as it relates to TSG Community of Practice participation u2022Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new employees (as approved with the TDM) to support TSG project workload and overall firm growth u2022Delivering a legendary client experience with attention to quality u2022Instilling a sense of personal ownership for work product quality by each member of your team u2022Coordinating workload within your Technical Services group and utilization goals for the individuals on your team u2022Responsibility for the direct labor (DL) budget and net hiring delivered for the team u2022Coordinating with your TDM for appropriate technical staff assignments u2022Delivering appropriate sales support, as coordinated with the TDM u2022Operational tasks that support our goal to remain private u2022Approving time sheets and expense reports in a timely manner u2022Ensuring your team members complete all required training (Compliance, Health & Safety, Ethics, etc.) on time u2022Ensuring your team members are compliant with QA/QC and Health & Safety procedures for project delivery u2022This position also requires technical experience in TSG Communities of Practice Transportation Design Job Title: New England Regional Team Leader-Transportation Services Group Group: TSO Certification/License Requirements: Professional Engineer Employment Type: Regular Minimum Qualifications: u2022Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline. u2022Professional engineering (PE) license. u202212 years of related experience. u2022Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. u2022Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Amount of Travel Required: 20% Assignment Category: Fulltime-Regular Visa Sponsorship Available: No - We will not support sponsorship, i.e. H-1B or TN Visas for this position Skills and Abilities: Expert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Expert Knowledge of engineer principles of design. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Expert knowledge of federal, state and local regulations. Basic knowledge of design standards (AASHTO, NACTO, etc.). #LI-HYBRID Background Check and Drug Testing Information: CDM Smith Inc. and its divisions and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred to as u201cCDM Smithu201d) reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions. Pay Range Minimum: $131,248 Pay Range Maximum: $229,694 Additional Compensation: All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
