HEREand#8217;S WHAT YOUand#8217;LL BE DOINGComplete technical work related to implementation of state and federal drinking water regulations for the Drinking Water Standards Section in the Water Supply Division of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).Conduct in office and/or on-site technical reviews, analyses, quality control and evaluations on routine to moderately complex information from internal and external customers to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; and follow up with appropriate corrective actions.Utilize data by following established business processes, maintain quality control and provide information related to drinking water quality and public water systems.Provide customer service to internal and external customers related to the agencyand#8217;s drinking water quality program through verbal and written communication, correspondence, reports, meetings, presentations, and responses to the Public Information Requests (PIRs).Qualifications: KEY QUALIFICATIONSExperience interpreting and/or implementing rules, regulations, policies or procedures.Experience ensuring or overseeing compliance of a regulated entity with state or federal requirements.REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCEA bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in a natural or physical science, engineering, environmental studies, or related field. One year of full-time experience in the field of environmental activities may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of the required education.Employees in this classification series may research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure, including but not limited to a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility. See Tex. Business Commerce Code Section 117.001(2). Work ScheduleStandard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 dividual and work group schedule determined by the TCEQ Water Supply Division.
