IT SOFTWARE ENGINEERING JG3 Houston, TX Hybrid Contract $83.33/hr - $86.21/hr Our Oil and Gas Client is looking for a Software Engineer for a year long contract. This is a hybrid role with their offices in Houston, TX. Required Skills & Experience The Software Engineer role is responsible for working with business and IT to deliver solutions in projects or enhancements for business needs. This role will be working in full partnership with the IT teams and Business Stakeholders to design, develop and deliver fit for purpose IT solutions. The role is part of and supports a global team. This role will primarily work with the Crude and Products business. ________________________________________ What will you be doing? u2022 Translating functional requirements into technical specifications with inputs from subject matter experts and Design Authority. u2022 Understanding business requirements to pilot and prototype new solutions and technologies, including procurement, setup, development, demonstration, and deployment. u2022 Supporting Projects and Support teams in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including Requirements Gathering, Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, Implementation, and Production support for software systems. u2022 Determining and design solutions that are scalable and sustainable for a global business. u2022 Developing open and trusting relationships with business stakeholders/users. u2022 Contribute/participate in local and global IT community activities. Required Skills & Experience u2022 Functional and Technical Experience with OpenLink Endur (v11+) u2022 Endur development using JVS and OpenComponents u2022 Experience with developing solutions using Java and .Net u2022 Experience with Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL and Informatica u2022 In-depth knowledge of Enduru2019s database schema and ability to write/tune SQL. u2022 Experienced in handling memory management issues with JVS and OpenComponents scripting u2022 Experienced with utilizing and implementing Connex, Grid Enabled Scripts, and Operation Services u2022 Experienced with utilizing and implementing Enduru2019s Trade Process Management (TPM) u2022 Understands mature software design/architectures, software quality management and coding standards u2022 Familiar with Microsoft Azure DevOps tools (such as VSTS and GIT) u2022 Able to manage multiple delivery priorities and multiple demand requests u2022 Work closely with stakeholders and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications. u2022 Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
