(MTSI) is seeking a detail-oriented IT Asset Management (ITAM) Specialist to support an advanced air platform program. This role involves overseeing the lifecycle management of IT assets, ensuring compliance with DoD standards, optimizing IT investments, and maintaining operational efficiency for mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in tracking, managing, and reporting IT assets to support high-impact defense programs.ResponsibilitiesAsset Lifecycle ManagementMaintain and manage the full lifecycle of IT assets (hardware, software, licenses, and cloud services), including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and decommission.Track and update IT asset information in inventory tools and systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, IBM Maximo).Inventory ControlConduct regular audits of IT asset inventories to ensure data accuracy.Monitor inventory levels to anticipate future needs and minimize pliance and LicensingEnsure that software licensing aligns with DoD regulations, vendor agreements, and cybersecurity requirements.Monitor asset compliance with NIST frameworks, RMF guidelines, and organizational policies.Assist in identifying and managing risks associated with outdated or noncompliant IT assets.Optimization and Cost ManagementIdentify opportunities to optimize IT resource usage, reduce waste, and improve cost efficiency.Analyze data to determine underutilized assets or cost-saving opportunities.Collaboration and ReportingGenerate asset reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to program stakeholders.Coordinate with IT, procurement, and cybersecurity teams to maintain accurate tracking and compliance measures.Support supply chain efforts by liaising with vendors and internal teams to ensure IT needs are met.Data Security and Process ImprovementsEnsure alignment with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800-171, DFARS, CMMC) for managing Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).Contribute to enhancing ITAM processes, policies, and workflows for the program's operational success.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.3+ years of experience in IT Asset Management or related roles, preferably supporting defense or aerospace programs.Proficiency in ITAM platforms and tools (e.g., ServiceNow, IBM Maximo, Snow License Manager).Strong knowledge of hardware and software asset tracking, procurement, and license management.Familiarity with DoD compliance frameworks, such as RMF, DFARS, and NIST standards.Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI.Desired5+ years of experience in IT Asset Management or related roles, preferably supporting defense or aerospace programs.Certifications that demonstrate ITAM expertise and compliance knowledge:Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) - IAITAMCertified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) - IAITAMCertified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) - IAITAMITIL Foundation Certification - for IT Service Management pTIA Security+ - for foundational knowledge of cybersecurity practices.CMMC-related certifications (e.g., Certified CMMC Professional or Certified CMMC Assessor).Experience with tactical systems or special mission IT infrastructure.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and propose actionable solutions.Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.#LI-ZS1#LI-Onsite#Dragons#Rudy#YellowhammerInteresting Work:Our co-workers support some of the most important and critical programs to our national defense and security.Values:Our first core value is that em
